Monday Quiz About Me

Welcome to Monday Quiz About Me - hosted by Acting Balanced and Touristic. They post 5 questions on Sunday evening along with a linky for you to link up your post answers!

Here are the Questions:

1. What is your best solution for getting rid of a headache? Drink more coffee.
2. Do you enjoy taking naps? Rarely.
3. What was the last 'block buster' movie you saw at the theatre? Don't remember.
4. If you could have anyone cook you dinner who would it be? Emeril Lagasse

My 5th Question - Any suggestions on how to deter those anonymous commenters? I hate having to have comment moderation turned on but the only other solution I can see is to limit commenting to only those who are followers and I don't want to do that.

  1. Sorry I don't know how to help with the wrong comment people. I haven't had too many yet.

  2. I don't know if my last comment took, but I know what you mean. I get tired of anonymous but don't want to block anybody that isn't a follower but wants to comment.

  3. I don't have any solutions about anonymous commenters either. I've only received two ugly ones in 4 years--which I promptly deleted.

  4. Not sure on blogspot blogs but I have a couple plugins on mine that place them automatically in the spam folder for me.

  5. More coffee - that's a good one.

Sorry to hear you're getting unwanted commenters. I think screening comments with moderation is perfectly reasonable. Ever heard of akismet? filters out spam comments...

  6. Your #1: one of those headaches! The worst headache I've ever had was from decaf for three days. It's caffeine addiction, it's not like it's heroine; give me more coffee! I'll never quit that again. :)

I have always had comment moderation on my blog and I hardly ever get the spammers now; they don't like to waste their time anymore than the rest of us. But I like being the first to read the comments on my blog when I "okay" them too.
