Welcome back to the Wednesday Hodgepodge! Be sure to add your link to the bottom of Joyce's post and then go visit the neighbors. After all, that's part of the fun!
1. Aloha! On August 21, 1959 Hawaii officially became a US state.
Have you ever been? Upon arrival would you prefer an orchid or a
hibiscus to tuck behind your ear? No, I've never been but I think I would prefer hibiscus - never have seen what's so great about orchids.
2. Since we're talking tropical...what's your favorite food or beverage made with pineapple? Ham! Can't help it - I'm just a country girl.
3. Do you believe in soul mates? Explain. Sometimes - although I've never really found mine. I do believe there's someone out there for everyone but a lot of it depends on circumstances.
4. Share a memory about the house you grew up in. My grandmother's house was built by my grandfather. It was just a little 4 room house but it was home.
5. Are you comfortable with silence?Yes, I've spent enough time alone to be very comfortable with silence.
6. You spot a giant spider on your bedroom wall...what's your next move? (all spiders are giant, right?)Grab a shoe and kill it.
7. My idea of fun does NOT include ______________. Bars.
8. Insert your own random thought here. It's been a very busy week already for me. Classes started Monday, I had a very long VFW meeting (new inductee and district inspection on the same night), today my desk is piled with paper, I have class, and I have to do a presentation at the Veteran's Resource Center Open House this afternoon!
