Thursday again! Time to do a little "pondering" with Brenda
from Fiction With a Purpose.
Her rules are really easy:
1. Grab the Pondering with a Purpose Badge (in her sidebar)
2. Look at the week's prompt
3. Post something on your blog that relates to the prompt - it can be a
story, a poem, a picture -- anything you want it to be.
4. Go back here and add the URL from your post to the linky list on Brenda's.
5. Go check out the other bloggers who have added their links to the list.
6. AND most of all.... Have fun!
I usually enjoy summer - I love the pool and I love to garden. This summer has been simply TOO hot. I checked the pool thermometer one night and it was 110! There simply isn't anything enjoyable about swimming in water that is about to boil. The garden? Bad year for gardening too - everything pretty much dried up before it got a chance. My tomatoes were pretty sad this year. What was there never got very big and I had to buy some in order to get all my canning done. I still have peppers and brussel sprouts but that's all that is left.
Now if we're talking about coffee - I drink hot coffee all day long, every day, no matter how hot it is. I will occasionally drink an iced coffee but I prefer it hot.

110 in the pool??? Now that is tooooo hot!
ReplyDeleteI planted red bell peppers and have had to nurture them the whole time... I still don't have any peppers... but the plants are pretty!
Thanks for pondering with me!
Hot definitely is hard on gardens, even my patio plants are stressed, but just hang on, one more month and it should be nice.
ReplyDeleteThis summer has bee way too hot for me!!
ReplyDelete110? That is a hot tub not a pool.
ReplyDeleteWhen my parents' pool gets too hot it is not fun to swim in. It's like a bath, not a refreshing dip.
