Monday Quiz About Me

Based on the original Meet Me on Monday hosted by Java at Never Growing Old, Heather over at Acting Balanced  posts 5 questions on Sunday evening along with a linky for you to link up your post answers! Since Java is back , Heather has changed the name of her hop to "Monday Quiz About Me."

This weeks Questions:
 1. How was your weekend? BUSY! Did the normal household chores like laundry, cleaned the basement (what a joy that was), clean out my closet and bagged lots of stuff to donate, cleaned out my dresser drawers, IRONED a big pile of clothes (I really HATE ironing), made relish, canned some more tomatoes, cleaned the computer room (which tends to be the place to pile things), uploaded a ton of pictures to Shutterfly, made brownies for Biz, and worked on my grandson's Christmas stocking!

2. What is your favorite kind of candy? I love the mallow cream halloween candy - the kind with the chocolate and caramel ones - can't hardly find it anymore.

3. If I say the word 'high' what do you think? High prices is the first thing that comes to mind.

4. What are you most looking forward to about Autumn? Love the colors - especially in the mountains - I'm really hoping that the trees are turning when daughter and I go late in Sept.

And don't forget to add a 5th Question on your own blog so we can answer as we hop around! Lately I find that I'm just posting on the memes. I do love the memes but I'm thinking that I need to back off a little and post more about other things. I'm not sure I have time for both. So my question is: Do you post mostly on the memes or do you post more about your everyday life?

  1. I have always considered my blogs to be online diaries so I post mostly about what is or is not happening in my life.

  2. Thank you for stopping by. I do enjoy memes and participate in at least one each day. Even though I do post daily with either a guest author, book giveaway and reviews, I enjoy my memes to find new blogs and visit those with the same interest as mine since the majority of my memes are book related, with a personal one thrown in at times. Have a great week!

  3. I have been doing a lot of memes lately too. I have been pondering the same question. I do not have the answer either.

  4. Both. Depends on my mood. If I'm sad and don't feel like sharing all that much, I meme it up. If I'm in a sharing mood, I write like there's no tomorrow.

  5. Wow, I wish I had some of your energy! You got a lot accomplished over the weekend :)

I do memes twice a week, then write two or three times a week. Sometimes I alternate doing different memes. I think a balance of both is best, otherwise you don't get as much traffic.

  6. There have been weeks when I have only posted memes, but normally ( as if anything is ever normal) I try to post about sewing or life at least once a week.

    Have a great week.

  7. Reading your weekend just wore me out!

I post on memes on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. On other days I post my original ideas, but a lot of the memes are questions about what's going on or what my opinions are, so if I'm busy and it's just memes I'm still sharing what's going on in my world and my mind. I'm not posting as much in the summer, but I find that's true with the blogs I follow too. Memes keep us all in touch during the summer and well all be posting more in the fall. :)

  9. I like to think that I talk about my every day life in all my posts. I try to incorporate a little piece of me, or personalization rather, into all the memes I participate in, whether it's a quick intro about what I'm up to or an answer to a question.
