Chats on the Farmhouse Porch



Patrice over at Everday Ruralty says it is very wet there. Same here although I believe it may turn to snow before long.
Here are this week's questions:

  1. Who makes the best cookies in your family?
  2. What was the most satisfying or pleasing thing about Christmas 2011?
  3. How many photo did you take while your family was together for Christmas? Tons? A few? What pictures?
  4. Do you have a fireplace, wood stove, or pellet stove?
  5. What time did you get up on Christmas morning?
My answers:
  1.  I have to say that I do.
  2. Having daughter and SIL over and being able to talk to son and DIL by phone.
  3. Just a few - this is what I get when I try to take pictures of daughter!
  4. I had a wood stove when I lived in the country and I MISS IT! There is nothing like wood heat.
  5. I can't sleep late - always up by 5 a.m. - even though there was no one here:(.

    Ah, another early bird. Even though I am retired and could sleep till noon, I am up at 5 every morning.

    I get pictures like that of our lovelies too! And I go right ahead and post them too! LOL We have a wood stove attached to our fireplace but I'm allergic to the smoke from the wood so we can't use it. Very sad.

    Hello I had to laugh because that is how my pictures look too. Or everything is a blur.
    It looks like you had a nice Christmas.
    You asked about people who can't burn fires?
    They are at war with the air pollution control people. It isn't as cold here but the poor people who live in the mountain communities have it rough. They have made it hard to burn fires. No one caught the name of my wood stove. It is Defiant. That is what I am. :)

    That can make for some interesting family pictures! Funny.Congratulations on being the best cookie maker- I could eat a barrel of cookies right now. I was really good before Christmas, but my sweet tooth got activated! lol
