Thursday's post made me really homesick!
6 of Granny's 8 kids in front of the old house - probably around 1980
My parent's house
A little cabin that used to be a Post Office-it sits between Sneedville, TN and Morristown, TN

Compromise Church - past Kyles Ford on the way to Clinch Mountain

The old Miller Place - right beside Compromise - close to the old home place of my dad's family. When I was a kid, there was a goldfish pond in front of this house that fascinated me. Us kids would walk down the road from Grandpa's and watch them for hours.

The next 3 pictures are views from one of the hairpin turns on top of Clinch mountain

The rest are were all taken at the Natural Tunnel at Duffield, VA - just 15 miles from my parent's

  2. Hi There Tami, Maybe we'll get some sunshine today in TN... Wouldn't that be nice???

Seeing Natural Tunnel makes me homesick... One of my best friends (who died of cancer this past June) had some relatives who lived in Clinchport... The last name was Kinder I think.

Have you visited Elrod Falls near Sneedville? Nice little waterfall...

    Have a great weekend.
    Hugs,
    Betsy

  3. Hi Betsy, yes I've been to Elrod Falls and walked all the way up to the top! I've heard that they are not maintaining the walkways very well though.
