Welcome back to the Wednesday Hodgepodge! Be sure to add your link to the bottom of Joyce's post and then go
visit the neighbors. After all, that's part of the fun!
I suppose Washington, because he was our first president and was a part of the Revolutionary War.
2. What's your favorite chain restaurant?
The Outback - love that place.
3.Joyce spied this question on the Bears at Home blog last week and was given permission to
steal
borrow it-When you look back on your life, do you imagine you'll think about the goals you failed to meet with regret? Or will you look at what you accomplished and say: it was good?
Probably both. Some things that I should have accomplished but others that couldn't have been better.
4. Grapefruit-take 'em or leave 'em? Given the choice between an orange and a grapefruit which would you choose? Would you prefer it served as is or squeezed into juice?
Leave the grapefruit - too sour for me - give me the oranges - to just peal and eat.
5. When was the last
time you cleaned out a closet? Is there a closet in your home that
currently needs cleaning? What are you waiting for?
Monday, while I was home (had Lincoln's birthday off and spent the day cleaning and working on upgrading both computers)! Wow, you couldn't have picked a better week to ask that question.
6. You get to have lunch with three famous people...who would you like to see round your table?
Sam Elliott, Tom Selleck, and Pierce Brosnan in that order - and does anybody need to ask why?
7. On a scale of 1-10 how would you rate your ability to parallel park?
Probably about a 5 - I avoid it when at all possible - but I can do it - not nearly as well as I remember my dad doing it though.
8. Insert your own random thought here.

oh!! how exciting about the coming grandchild!!! hope all goes well. I had 2 of my 3 babies 3 weeks early - with no problems - hope your daughter can deliver sooner rather than later.
ReplyDeleteGreat answers I love your three lunch dates! Congrats and good luck to your DIL ! Happy Wednesday!
ReplyDeleteYour university has Lincoln's birthday off? Ours did back in the day, but when I came back for my last service (1989-2008), we no longer had it off (no holidays between MLK Day and Memorial Day). But we got a long break between Christmas and New Year's, so I guess they sacrificed Lincoln's birthday for the Christmas break. I just made sure that I saved some vacation days for March and April ... 4 months was a long time to go without a day off. ha!
ReplyDeleteI remember those days (waiting for grandbabies). I got a cell phone when DD was expecting T#1 so I could be sure to be available when the call came. T#2, T#3, and T#4 were to be delivered via planned c-section, but neither one of those rascals could wait until the scheduled date. Can't wait to read that the little one has arrived!
I've seen the cat on your blog all this time and only today I discovered that it's interactive. What fun - I may never leave your blog! ha!
Texas Ruby Red grapefruit is sweet as can be! Really.
ReplyDeleteAnd Sam Elliott...oh boy, I'd melt in his arms when he would begin to talk to me!!
MY LINK: DOWNTOWN PARK [you'll need to scroll down below my photo shares to read if you chose to stop by to visit!!]
Tom Selleck and Pierce Bronson are such handsome men. No need to explain why you picked them. lol
ReplyDeleteoh how exciting! :) I hope he comes soon :) Sounds like both mama and grandmama are ready for him!! =D
ReplyDeleteI know one should never suggest to a pregnant woman to wait, but wouldn't that be neat to have the baby on Leap Day?
