Today I am thankful that I do not live in Alaska! A snowicane? - With the pressure equivalent of a Category 4 hurricane, "the potentially
historic 'superstorm' will start a "parade" of storms in the Pacific
Northwest later this week.
The powerful storm is unleashing 85 mph damaging winds, blizzard
conditions, huge waves and coastal flooding. A coastal station measured
ice accretion of 23.5 inches per hour Tuesday night.
Yes - I'm thankful that I do not live in Alaska. Hope everyone there stays inside and safe.
I'm thankful I don't live in Alaska, too. It looks like a nice place to visit, but...give me the heat and humidity of the south any day!
ReplyDeleteI hate to live in cold country in the winter. I did it for enough years, that I'm not quite thawed out yet. Phoenix in the winter, what could be better?
ReplyDeleteMy gosh! that sounds awful! I hope they are doing alright over there!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd yes i am thankful to that i live in beautiful Indiana, were we just have a bunch of wind... luckily no rain and or snow!
Big hugs
Leontien
I'm thankful for that too. : )
ReplyDeleteWhoa! That's the first I've heard of anything like that. I think I'd rather take my chances with a good old-fashioned hurricane than a snowicane! Wonder if any of that weather in the Pacific Northwest is going to find it's way down here into Illinois.
ReplyDeleteWOW this is the first I heard of it. I sure hope those people are ready. I wonder too how far south it will go.
ReplyDeleteYou have an award waiting for you on my blog. See post labeled "My Very First Time"
ReplyDeleteThe weather lately has just been crazy! I've never heard of a snowicane.
