1. Do you decorate outdoors for the holidays? Yes I have my outdoor nativity and two candles, one on each side of the entry. I also have my Christmas Village set up on the enclosed porch.
2. What is the best thing about office Christmas parties? I don't know - maybe the fact that everybody is usually happy, the festivity of it all.
3. Gloves or Mittens? Gloves.
4. What do you think of Secret Santas? They can be fun but they can also be frustrating if you don't know much about the person you are buying for.
My 5th Question: What is your main Christmas tradition - the one that makes it Christmas for you?

Dragging out the Christmas decorations on Thanksgiving weekend--and attending at least one Christmas Parade during the season-- are regular traditions for us.
ReplyDeleteSeeing my family and friends is what makes Christmas for me. We don't really have any traditions.
ReplyDeleteI love getting together with family and friends.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite, number one tradition, is before turning in for the night on Christmas Eve, watching "It's A Wonderful Life" in black & white. LOVE that movie, makes me so much more appreciate my life!
ReplyDeleteI don't think I could pick just one. Though what is popping in mind isn't really a tradition, but I love thinking of creative gifts for everyone each year. May not be new or latest but every item has a lot of thought go into it as well as planning.
ReplyDeleteMy first Christmas tradition that made the holiday season start for me when I was a kid was Family Shopping Night at Grandma's store. She was the store manager at Kresgee and on Family Shopping Night the store closed early and it was only employee families that shopped. I got most of my shopping done, I was a kid, there wasn't a lot of it, and spent lots of time with my grandfather sitting at the snack bar picking the filled peanuts out of the hard candy dishes. When we got all the peanuts out of one, we moved down the snack bar counter to the next dish. Great memories.
ReplyDeleteNow the holiday season has officially kicked off when I design our Christmas Cards; when this years message hits me, it's the sign that Christmas season has officially started.
Christmas carols. I start listening to them even before Thanksgiving because they make me think of the holidays. We also put up our tree the day after Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteI do not really have any Christmas traditions. I am kind of Grinchy with the whole thing. Thanks for joining up with the MQAM, hope to see you again next week.
