1. The Summer Olympics officially begin this Friday night...will you be watching? If you could see just one event in person which one would you pick? Son and dil are in England and they are going - I really don't care about any of the events but I'd love to be there just to see them and my amazing little grandson!
2.Do lazy days make you feel rested or unproductive?Unproductive! I hate it when the day is over and it doesn't feel like I got anything accomplished.
3. July 25th is 'officially' Threading
the Needle Day...can you sew? On a scale of 1-10 with 1 being not at
all and 10 being Betsy Ross-like, how would you rate your skill with a
needle and thread?I'd give myself an 8. I can sew but I'm not nearly as talented as some of the quilters out there.
4. 'Threading the Needle'
can also mean to walk a fine line between two things or issues (think
awkward social situation). When was the last time you had to 'thread the needle', figuratively speaking? I think I do just that all the time. It's part of the job that I have - we deal with lots of diversity, which can often be like threading a needle.
5. Kidney, pinto, black, or navy...your favorite bean? How about "green?" I'm not a huge bean person, but I love my own home canned green beans. Way back, when my dad was failing, I was traveling down home just about every weekend - 751 miles one way. I decided not to can that year, simply did not have time. I bought canned green beans that winter and my kids would not eat them. I ended up getting some home canned ones from a friend!
6. Have you ever hosted a garage sale? Was it more success or bust?I've had yard sales, but I don't think they're worth the trouble - I do love going to them though.
7. What makes you roll your eyes? Lots of things - like the boys with their pants halfway down their "bottoms" and their underwear showing! Really! What is the point of that?
8. Insert your own random thought here.Summer class over! I'm free for a few weeks!
Good questions and answers.
ReplyDeleteI had lots of garage sales before I moved. I love the interaction with people. There is a lot of hard work involved though.
A great list! (I'm happy to report around here, not so much of the pants down thing gonna on lately! :)
ReplyDeleteHa! Boys with their pants hanging way down makes me roll my eyes too - do they know how stupid they look!
ReplyDeleteLove green beans... and the pants thing? It makes me roll my eyes too!
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, the low hanging trousers and the sidways ball caps. What IS up with that? I think its a fad that has passed its prime. Actually not sure it ever had one : )
ReplyDeleteI teach 8th graders and when I see their underwear I say the the guys-"I've seen underwear before on my stepson so please pull your pants up."
ReplyDeleteLove to be in England right now.
