Pondering With a Purpose

Thursday again! Time to do a little "pondering" with Brenda from Fiction With a Purpose.

Her rules are really easy:

1. Grab the Pondering with a Purpose Badge (in her sidebar)
2. Look at the week's prompt
3. Post something on your blog that relates to the prompt - it can be a story, a poem, a picture -- anything you want it to be.
4. Go back here and add the URL from your post to the linky list on Brenda's.
5. Go check out the other bloggers who have added their links to the list.
6. AND most of all.... Have fun!

This Week's prompt: Extremes

There is no question about the fact that I would gladly give my life for my children - in a heartbeat. Wayne posed a great question about that though. Would they both suffer if you gave your life to save one? I don't know. I do know that it doesn't really matter. If faced with the situation, I personally, would have no choice - I would choose their life over mine.

Now as for pets - I love all three of my pets but I would not give my life for them. They definitely are a part of the family, but just not quite the same?

  1. All mothers should feel the same way about their children. I would take any pain or suffering or even death for my children.

  2. I found this pondering to be rather difficult. When faced with a real choice like this, what would we do? I can only hope none of us get to find out.

  3. I love both your answer and Wayne's answer... I certainly hope never have to make that decision either, but unlike Wayne I do tend to let my emotions lead the way ... and 99% of the time I don't second guess these decisions and am happier because of them.

    Thanks for pondering with me

  4. Very serious pondering here. You are right about pets. I do know the feelings on pets vary widely.
