- Please tell me a fond autumn memory. Or tell me something interesting you're doing now that fall is here. Fond memories? I have lots of them. I love Halloween and seeing all the kids dressed up. I used to make my kid's outfits. I made them "jailbird" costumes one year and made them so they could later be used for pajamas. The first time I put them on my son after Halloween (he was pretty little), he went tearing out of the bathroom saying "I ready to go, I ready to go!"
- What's your favorite kind of cheese? Colby Longhorn
- Have you ever been in a wedding, other than your own (if applicable)? I was in quite a few weddings in my younger years.
- Did you ever do anything as a child to earn money? (Lemon aid stand, crafts, mother's helper, chores, etc.) We used to go around picking up pop bottles and taking them in for the deposit.
- Do you wear a watch? Not anymore - I think the cell phones have taken the place of watches. I miss wearing one but it just seems unnecessary anymore.

Thanks for the pop bottle memories. I remember when my kids were little, some week I would take back enough bottles on Thursday to get $2.00 in gas to get to work on Friday. $2.00 of gas now barely gets you out of the gas station. Have a safe trip. Can't wait to see tons of pics when you get back.
ReplyDeleteWow...pop bottles! Can you imagine kids doing that now? I used to load up my wagon!
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a wonderful time "down home". Let us know about your trip when you get back.Wendell wants to know if you're going to a carrot farm- his idea of the perfect vacation!:)
ReplyDeleteI've never attempted to make costumes. I applaud you for not only making them, but making them so they could continue to be used after Halloween. Very creative!
ReplyDeleteHave a fun time visiting!
That is such a sweet story about your son wanting to go trick-or-treating again! My youngest will put her costume on for weeks and walk around to us wanting us to put something in her basket :)
