Based on the original Meet Me on Monday hosted by Java at Never Growing Old,
Heather over at Acting Balanced posts 5 questions on Sunday evening along with a linky for you to link
up your post answers! Since Java is back , Heather has changed the name of her hop to "Monday Quiz About Me."
1. What is your favorite memory you made while on walk? I used to go on hikes all the time with my ex - before we were married. There's a State Park called Siloam Springs that we both enjoyed.
2. Do you prefer to live in the city, suburbs or country? Why? I like living in the country, although I now live in town (if you can call 400 people a town). I like it in the country because it's quiet and there are no neighbors to bother you. I don't think I could live in an actual city.
3. Post the cutest kid/pet/whatever picture you have taken lately? I'm not at home so I can't pull up any pictures right now.
4. What is your favorite recipe made with apples? Apple butter - and it's about time to be making some.
And don't forget to add a 5th Question on your own blog so we can answer as we hop around!
Fall weather is here in IL and I have my first cold. I started coughing Friday afternoon, was miserable all day Saturday, finally took some Niquil and went to bed and didn't get up till 9:30 Sunday morning - and I'm usually up by 5 every day, no matter what. Then I went back to bed at 1 p.m., got up at 5, back to bed at 7 and slept all night. This morning, it feels like my head is in a fog! After all that, my question is: Do you get colds easily or are you lucky enough to bypass them?

I am usually the last to get a cold in our house... it strengthens by going through the kids and hubby first... then it finally wears me down...
ReplyDeleteI don't get a cold very often however I have gotten a terrible cough and last year it was thanks to my grandson. It took almost 6 months to get rid of it.
ReplyDeleteI very rarely get a cold, maybe one every three or four years. I'm a tough old broad.
ReplyDeleteWhat a bummer that you feel so yucky!
ReplyDeleteI've actually been rather fortunate in the cold department... but when I get one it last for weeks and it ends up in my chest... but I'm right there with marti... I'm a tough old broad too!
I get colds infrequently but our house is a germ factory (three kids). Add to that I work at a university sick students coming to class is normal, than I guess it is enviable.
ReplyDeleteThankfully I don't get colds very often, though when I do they get into my bronchial passages and I end up needing antibiotics for bronchitis. My kids are pretty sturdy too; even the youngest only gets one or two a year at most, and he's in public school.
ReplyDeleteIt's been a long time since I've had an actual cold, like March 2005. I get stuffed up and a cough, but it usually lasts a day or two. I start medicating as soon as I feel it.
ReplyDeleteIn 2005 I had a couple weeks of stuffed up, sore throat and ears and an occasional fever...and I was planning a huge showcase for my fledgling small business at the time. (That could very well be why the cold hit me so bad!)
Since I had pneumonia in 1998 I am prone to getting bronchitis. Usually once or twice a year.
ReplyDeleteI HATE getting colds. When I get them they last FOREVER. So at the first inkling of any itchy throat I drink nothing but water with some emergenc-e twice a day and I run out and buy throat soothers and vitamin c drops. I usually bypass colds pretty good when I'm being really careful about it.
ReplyDeleteI will pick up every cold that someone brings in the house. So annoying!
