Coffee Chat

Time for the Coffee Chat! If you'd like to join, head over to Leslie's at Time out for Mom.

The topic is: Christmas Traditions

I have a few Christmas traditions starting with putting the tree up on the day after Thanksgiving. It is the start of the Christmas season for me. It didn't get done this year and I was extremely upset - kind of ruined it for me and I said that I would not put up a tree at all because of it. BUT - I caved. I got a tree last weekend and put it up.

The only other tradition that I can think of is Christmas Eve pajamas. It started when the kids were little. I would always buy them Christmas themed pajamas to wear on Christmas Eve. I still do it. This year I ordered matching flannel pj bottoms and Christmas t-shirts for me and Biz. They should be here this week!

  5. It is funny how we count on our Traditions and when they get disrupted it disrupts the feeling too, I totally get it. Christmas pajamas sound like fun!!

  6. Yes - my mom used to always have a Christmas Eve gift for me too. sometimes pj's, or a book, or a soft cuddly......but I usually have stuck with the PJ's tradition. Not necessarily all matching - because my son would stage a Christmas Eve holy rebellion if I dressed him like his sisters. LOL
Last year I did something really special and ordered them all new bedding in their favourite characters. previously they only mismatched stuff that I could find on sale. They were so surprised when they came up to bed and saw their cozy nests adorned with Star Wars, Barbie and Dora. Was awesome!
Post a pic of your festive pj's! :)
    thanks for sharing your traditions!
