Hodgepodge

Welcome back to the Wednesday Hodgepodge! Be sure to add your link to the bottom of Joyce's post and then go visit the neighbors. After all, that's part of the fun!

This week's questions:

 1. So, when did you last take a walk in the woods? A stroll along the beach? A drive going nowhere in particular in the car? The last time I walked in the woods was when I lived in the country - about three years ago.
2.  Are you sending Christmas cards this year?  About how many do you send?  Photo card or something more traditional?  How do you display the cards you receive? No cards from me - I do sit out the few that I get - usually on the counter of the built in cabinet.
3. What's a word you've heard too much of in the past week? Finals.
4. December 13th is National Cocoa Day-are you a fan?  Plain or flavored?  Marshmallows or no marshmallows? Yes - plain and no marshmallows for me! I do sometimes mix my cocoa with my coffee - imagine that!
5. What is something you do to help alleviate the hectic pace of the Christmas season? This year I did most of my shopping online and avoided the stores whenever possible.
6. Besides jewelry, what's a favorite sparkly-glittery item in your home or closet? I'm not much of a glitter fan. I really can't thing of anything I own that is glittery.
7. Share a favorite line or two from any Christmas carol. Come they told me, pa rum pa pa pum!
8.  Insert your own random thought here.As I said, I did a lot of shopping online this year. I got a package tonight that was minus 4 things - so now I have to come up with some more "finishers" for daughter and sil. Bummer!

  3. I got most of my shopping done online, too. Saves you the headache of having to battle the people at the malls. Love "The Little Drummer Boy"!

  4. I love coffee and cocoa mixed together but then it's more of a dessert or special drink with a good movie. On line shopping is so easy, I take advantage of it when I can.

  5. I sometimes add a splash of coffee to my cocoa too...it cuts the sweetness. I will email you the cranberry bread recipe. If I forget remind me : )

  6. That's the downside of shopping online, when things don't ship or ship incorrectly. Thankfully I've never had that problem with Amazon, but my son did. He had to return a couple of things that shipped wrong.

I had coffee and chocolate once and got such an intense buzz I thought I'd pass out. Never again!

  7. I believe that coffee and cocoa is called mocha.... imagine that???

  8. I should have put 'finals' in for #3 too, because that's all I hear from DoodleBug lately. Though she is finished now! All that's left is student teaching! Cocoa and coffee? Never even thought of that.

  9. I do most of my Christmas shopping on line, too. It's much easier!

    Finals? Say no more!

  10. Seems many are going the online route for shopping this year. I didn't have much shopping to do (still got two little items to get) but was surprised when we were out shopping last night it wasn't as crazy as I anticipated.
