And hosting is A LOT of work. there's all the cleaning before AND after your guests leave. All the food prep. All the money spent on food and drink. Most people of course feel it's all worth it to have great company. But most of the time, I see either an exhausted hostess, OR -- you don't see your hostess. She's too busy in the kitchen!
