- Do you make New Years resolutions?
- What do you hope to accomplish this year?
- Tell me about your favorite place to think, create, or just relax.
- Are you a fan of old movies? (Like the ones that were originally black and white.)
- Tell me something that made you happy since our last porch visit. If you're new to the chats, tell me something good that has happened to you lately.
My answers:
- No
- Lots of little projects around the house - new grandson and a visit with my first grandson.
- The mountains have always been "my place" -whenever I get really down or stressed, I find myself wanting to go home.
- Yes, and I like them in black and white - for me they tend to lose some of their charm when they are colorized.
- A long conversation with my son.
Happy New Year! I hope you have a great year. I love the mountains too. There is just something about their grandeur and beauty that is so soothing. Not to mention you can get away from the crowds.
ReplyDeleteThose old movies are the best. Happy New Year.
ReplyDeleteHello!! I always enjoy meeting up on Patrice's porch!! Wishing you and your family a very Happy and Blessed New Year!
ReplyDeleteI love your straight and to the point answer to making resolutions....NO!!! There is no reason to make them 'cause they just get broken in no time!!! HOPE 2013 is a very good year for you and your family!!!
ReplyDeleteI never make resolutions either.
ReplyDeleteThe mountains are a big reason I moved back home to WV. When I was driving a couple weeks ago and saw the snow on the tops of them, I was so grateful all over again that God allowed me to come home. There just is nothing prettier than snow covered WV mountains in my opinion :).
ReplyDeleteI don't mind watching a colorized movie, but I still prefer the original black and white. It gives them an air of antiqueness.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year! We are hoping to build our "Dream HomeStead" in the North GA mountains.
ReplyDeleteHappy 2013 Tami can't wait to see those grandson photos and you are welcome to my mountain anytime just watch out for icey roads yikes. Love chatting with you here on the porch sending you mucho love lady! ~Janice~
ReplyDeleteI agree with you about the colorized versions of the older movies. Some things are meant to be in black and white. The color just gets in the way of the point.
