Coffee Chat

Time for the Coffee Chat! If you'd like to join, head over to Leslie's at Time out for Mom.

The topic is: Have you ever won an award?

I've received quite a few awards in my life - most of them have been for some sort of academic achievement. It does make you feel good to get an award and having some sort of competition has always helped me to focus on the task and try to do my best. I like winning - I like getting a better "grade" than someone else - I like "ruining the curve" - is that wrong?

  1. Trying your best and pushing for it is the best way to get ahead. Striving for greatness.

  2. I won my first award when I was in high school. It was a gold key and it was for a wallpaper design that I did.

  4. No. I say you should always try to be the very best version of yourself. If someone else has a problem with that -- it says more about them, than it does about you!

  7. I believe striving to make the grade says a lot about dedication to making the best of your-self.
