Welcome back to the Wednesday Hodgepodge! Be sure to add your link to the bottom of Joyce's post and then go visit the neighbors. After all, that's part of the fun! 1. How many students were in your high school graduating class? Did you know most, if not all of them?
Umm - like 87.
I think it was some pictures of my garden. I like to keep a record of how it looks from year to year.
2. What was the last thing you photographed?
3. Pickles-love 'em or loathe 'em? If it's love what's something you eat that needs a pickle?
I love dill pickles. Either by themselves or with hamburgers.
4. What's a stereotype you perpetuate without meaning to?
I have to go with Joyce on this one. I have no sense of direction at all. My daughter used to ride shotgun whenever we went some where and tell me where to go (and she was only six or seven).
5.
Ever been horseback riding? If so, is it something you enjoy? If
not, do you have any interest? Did you watch the Kentucky Derby? Will
you be watching the last leg of the Triple Crown this weekend?
I love horseback riding. Used to do it all the time as a kid but haven't been in years. I don't watch the races.
6. What's your favorite wedding movie?
Seven Brides for Seven Brothers has been a favorite of mine since the first time I saw it - and that was YEARS ago.
7. What is one 'tourist attraction' in the USA you'd like to see in person?
I'd love to see the Grand Canyon.
8. Insert your own random thought here.
My summer class is going to be BORING. It's just a little one hour class that meets once a week and should be really easy - honestly I don't know why some of these things are required now. Back when I first went to college, we had "real" classes with "real information." It seems like since I've been working on this second degree that some of the new requirements are just LAME. This one is "Pre-Professional Preparation" - now really, do we really have to teach a college course on how to dress for interviews, prepare a resume, and use online employment networks? Do the kids these days really not know this stuff already?
We used to laugh that my daughters would tell me where to turn before either of them drove : ) Seven Brides for Seven Brothers is a favorite around here too!
ReplyDeletethat does sound like a lame class!
ReplyDeleteMy older daughter and I love Seven brides for 7 Brothers ... I recently bought it on DVD so we watch it more often. :)
ReplyDeleteSorry about the class - yes I agree that some classes these days sound kind of pointless.
yes the class does sound kinda boring--hope it's better than we think!
ReplyDeleteHi Tami, I graduated in a small class too--only about 80 I think. My high school experience was such a good one. Such great memories.
ReplyDeleteThe last thing I photographed was this morning about 7:30 a.m. when we 'walked the yard'.... I took pictures of Roses/Lilies/Daylilies...
I loved and still love Seven Brides for Seven Brothers... Loved the music --and probably saw that movie 10 times!!!!
Hugs,
Betsy
