Chats on the Farmhouse Porch

It's time to head over to Patrice's porch for the weekly chat.

Here are the questions:

1. What do your everyday dishes look like?

My answers:
1.  I have three sets of dishes. When son and dil got married they registered for square dishes. They were red and black and I thought they were hideous. But then I started seeing square dishes everywhere and they grew on me. Last year I bought these on a whim - not quite square but almost - and notice the color! They are now my everyday dishes.

For years before, I used these - my Home Sweet Home dishes. I have the entire set - even canisters to match.

From Thanksgiving day until New Years day, I use my We can Build a Snowman dishes. I also have everything imaginable to match these.

2.  Years ago, my daughter bought some crocks. Once again, I thought they were hideous but she kept telling me how comfortable they were. One day I saw some knock-offs at Dollar General and bought them for $5.00. I wore those things for years. They finally wore out last year and I was lamenting over the loss of them one day when my daughter was here. Lo and behold, I got these for Mother's Day last year! Green is my favorite color and I wear these all the time - except at work that is!
3. Biz bought me a ceiling fan for the computer room. I'd take a picture but it won't be put up until this weekend!

4.  I know you can't see her face here but this is always the first face I see in the morning! She thinks it's her job to get me up - or more likely gets me up so I can feed her. She, by the way, is not very ladylike!

5.  Another gift from my daughter! She knows I like green! Actually I have TONS of coffee cups. Both kids buy them for me whenever they go somewhere. I don't usually use the ones from different countries though - too afraid I might accidentally break them.
