Wednesday Hodgepodge

Welcome back to the Wednesday Hodgepodge! Be sure to add your link to the bottom of Joyce's post and then go visit the neighbors. After all, that's part of the fun!

1. What can the average citizen do to honor a military veteran and/or those currently serving?

I have my flagpole in the front yard. I also try to say "thank you" to any service man/woman that I see.

2. Besides a flag, what is something you own that is red, white, and blue?

I have lots of red, white, and blue - signs, birdbath, garden decorations, ---I went on a red, white, and blue binge when my son joined the Air Force and have stuck with it over the years.

3. Does love really conquer all?

I'd have to say no. It takes more than love. I believe that commitment, patience, and lots of work also go into conquering anything.

4. Strawberry shortcake or blueberry pie?

Blueberry is one of my favorites so I'd have to pick the pie.

5. Do you share personal stuff with your hairdresser?

I don't often go to a hairdresser so I guess "no" would be my answer.

6. Does money lead to selfishness?

I believe that depends mostly on the person.

7. What piece of furniture in your home most needs replacing or refinishing?

I've been wanting a new dining room table/chairs.
8. Insert your own random thought here.

My pool is up! It's not filled yet - but it is up!

  1. There are not too many opting for the pie today. I made shortcake over the weekend and it was so good, but I also love a blueberry pie.

    Have a great day!

  2. You are the first person (of the blogs I've visited) who's chosen blueberry pie. ;-)

It's definitely pool time! Wish we had a pool.

  4. I'm a big believer in commitment and hard work too ... Love isn't so much a fairy tale feeling every day - it is a choice to make each morning. Sometimes it is easier to love than others. :)

  5. I don't go to the hairdresser often either :) I love seeing flagpoles on people's front lawns.
