Thursday again! Time to do a little "pondering" with Brenda
from Fiction With a Purpose.
Her rules are really easy:
1. Grab the Pondering with a Purpose Badge (in her sidebar)
2. Look at the week's prompt
3. Post something on your blog that relates to the prompt - it can be a
story, a poem, a picture -- anything you want it to be.
4. Go back here and add the URL from your post to the linky list on Brenda's.
5. Go check out the other bloggers who have added their links to the list.
6. AND most of all.... Have fun!
This Week's prompt: Comfort Foods
My biggest comfort food would be - potato soup. For some reason I always want potato soup when I am sick and have since I was a kid. I really have no idea why - maybe it's because of the warm milk making you want to go to sleep?
For a comfort food that doesn't involve me being wrapped up in a blanket - peanut butter - crunchy peanut butter that is - none of that smooth stuff and not the "natural" either. Just plain old crunchy peanut butter. I have to admit that I am a "spooner" too - forget the bread, just give me a jar of crunchy peanut butter and a spoon and I'll be totally content.

good answer! i love potato soup :)
ReplyDeleteLove the new header!!!
ReplyDeleteI am also a spooner with the peanut butter... but I love it with ice cream... now talk about adding calories on top of calories ... hee hee hee...
I learned to eat that combination when I was in college and I guess it also counts as a comfort food.....
Try this; chocolate and vanilla ice cream. Take the PB and nuke it till it's runny (you have to watch it) then pour over the ice cream - AWESOME!
DeleteOh wow I love potato soup! Didn't even think about that.
ReplyDeleteI hated potato soup when I was a kid, but have discovered it's pretty good as an adult. I think I'd have to throw in a little ham or something to make it a comfort food, though. :/
