It's a glorious day on Patrice's porch and here as well. I walked out of the house this morning to discover my lilies poking through the ground - they were not there last night!
I hope Wendell
is having a grand time chasing those chickens but I must say I will miss him begging for carrots during our chat today.
Here are the questions for this week:
- What's your favorite type of chair?
- What was the last play you saw?
- If you could spend an all expenses paid week in a cabin in the mountains, a cottage at the beach, or a townhouse in a city with lots of great attractions, which would you choose?
- What's your favorite condiment?
- What's your favorite breed of dog?
My answers:
- I like rocking chairs but then I really like my recliner too! I guess it depends on where I am. I can tell you one chair that I don't like and that is those Adirondack things - I have a really hard time getting out of them - and not because they're so comfortable.
- No idea - maybe high school?
- A cabin in the mountains would be grand! There's nothing like the serenity there.
- When I was a kid I hated mustard but now I just love it! I especially like the dijon types.
- I guess I should say Husky's but if I were to be totally honest, I just love St. Bernards. I actually like all big dogs but the St. Bernards are just so big and friendly!

I have never sat in a Adirondack chair before. They always looked uncomfortable to me, and I knew I wouldn't be able to get out either.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad you have flowers coming up. :)
Husky's are beautiful. My son told me we should get one.
ReplyDeleteYAYAYAY about the lilies! Spring is springing around here, too. The bluebonnets are blooming, along with the paintbrushes and yellow flowers that I can't remember the name of at the moment. Just beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWhat color are your lilies? Lilies are one of my favorite flowers. "Suzanne" means "lily". :)
I enjoyed your post. Have a great week!
Oh, yes. I forgot mustard! I do like that stuff.
ReplyDeleteI always figure people must have been closer to the ground when they invented those Adirondack chairs.
Yay, rocking chairs. My mom and I found a St.Bernard many years ago. We brought it in our house and let it be part of the family. After about a week, the owners were found and we had to give him back. I was happy he went home, but I was broken hearted at the same time! I think Adirondack chairs need eject buttons! :)
ReplyDeleteAs you may remember, I'm a HUGE fan of the beach. We went to Estes Park, Colorado a couple of years ago, and I found that I enjoyed my time in the mountains much more than I thought I would. They're so majestic and beautiful. However, having said that, given the choice, the cottage at the beach would of course win out for me. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about stuff appearing overnight. Yesterday, our pear tree had buds ... today it has blossoms! Isn't it fun to see stuff pop up overnight?
