Welcome back to the Wednesday Hodgepodge! Be sure to add your link to the bottom of Joyce's post and then go visit the neighbors. After all, that's part of the fun!
1. St. Patrick's Day will be celebrated this coming Saturday...what's
a favorite article of clothing you own that contains a touch o' the
green?
Green is my favorite color so I have a lot of it. I have a "maxy dress" that has a lot of green in it. I'd say that would be my favorite. 2. What's a favorite 'green space' in the town, state, or province where you live?
There's really not many green spaces here in town but we have a lot of woods surrounding us. That would be my favorite.
3. Do you wish you were taller, shorter, or think you're just about right in the height department?
I'm 5'8.5" - just about right.
4. What's the surest way for someone to pick a fight with you?
If someone were to say something negative about my children, they would definitely find themselves with a fight on their hands.
5. Broccoli-Spinach-String Beans-Peas...of the four, your favorite green veg? (Or the one you dislike the least if that first option's too hard. I just know there's some veggie haters out there.)
I like them all. If I absolutely had to choose one it would be spinach - raw or cooked, doesn't matter.
6. March is National Women's History Month...besides friends, neighbors and the women you're related to, who's a woman in history you admire and why?
Sacajawea was a Shoshone Native American and a member of the Lewis and Clark expedition. They were the first whites to cross North America, and she guided them when she was still a teenager-with a baby strapped to her back.
7. Keep Calm and ____________on.
You fill in the blank.
I'd say "trudge"
8. Insert your own random thought here.
I slept with my window open last night! The cat's loved it and so did I.

We had the sliders open last night (not sure if DH left them open intentionally). It was a little chilly in here this morning, but I loved sitting at the breakfast bar, hearing the birds cheeping before the sun came up and relishing the fresh air.
ReplyDeleteI left the windows open today - hope it doesn't start raining before I get home.
DeleteSleeping with the window open. Sounds amazing! Think I might do that in a few. SUCH a lovely day outside!
ReplyDeleteI think we could easily sleep with our windows open, but I have terrible nasal allergies and I don't want to take any chances. Such a bummer! I definitely can't complain about our weather!
ReplyDeleteI like your answer to #6. She was quite a remarkable woman!
ReplyDeleteIt's been so unseasonable warm here, I had to turn on the air! Opening the windows don't do much for my allergies either.
Doesn't do much for my allergies. I can't stand typos!
DeleteYep, we mothers defend our children...no matter how old they get.
ReplyDeleteNow, about Sacajawea...I don't know if you have read the book, but I will tell you it's a must to read if you like fiction based on fact...by Anna Waldo! It is a GREAT read. I've read it over and over, and still never tire of it. Try and find it if you can. I think you'll like it.

ReplyDeleteI love most all green veggies also.. I love turnip greens (with pinto beans of course).. I also like spinach and green beans.... YUM...
I used to wear green to work on St. Patty's Day for many years ---to keep from being pinched!!!!!! ha
Hugs,
Betsy
I hardly have anything green or even anything with green in it. Oh I just remembered I have a green purse someone gave me.
ReplyDeleteWe are having lovely weather here in NJ too and I have had the windows open a bit. It feels so good.
Sacagawea is a great choice for an amazing woman she actually crossed my mind a few times when I was trying to narrow my choices down.
ReplyDeleteI'm loving the spring weather right now, open windows and cool breezes are wonderful.
I'm so happy that we're headed toward "sleeping with the window open weather." Yay!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it amazing how we will turn into a momma bear when it comes to our kids?
ReplyDeleteI just finished the journals of Lewis and Clark. I really would like to go travel that route someday. Sacagawea is still so amazing.
