1. What's the last job you did that required elbow grease?
Cleaning off the brick patio in the back yard - always requires lots of elbow grease the first time of the season as grass and weeds always grow through all the cracks and nothing I've found will kill it for long.
2. March Madness, aka the men's Division I basketball
championship, is nearing an end...what sort of 'madness' has your house
seen this month?
I don't do sports, the only madness my house sees is when I get on a cleaning jag and start pitching things.
3. What's your favorite shop for browsing?
I'm really not much of a shopper - does Amazon count?
4. Is there ever a time when giving up makes sense?
I never give up - just keep plugging away. That's not saying that I have not occasionally "changed directions" but give up - NEVER!
5. What's a song you love that contains the name of a city, state or country in its title?
An old John Denver song - Take me Home, Country Roads - I always find myself singing that song when I go to VA - usually as soon as I go through the tunnel at Middlesboro, KY and turn off onto 58.
6. When did you first begin using a computer?
Must have been around 1994
7. Did you buy girl scout cookies this year? What's your favorite?
Of course - and aren't Thin Mints everyone's favorites?
8. Insert your own random thought here.
I have been through 2 video cards, one coupler, and a splitter and still do not have my second monitor working! But I will not give up! See #4.

We have a stone patio and you are right, it is horrible cleaning it for the first time in the season.
ReplyDeleteI know one thing....you have me now, and probably most of the day...humming Country Roads. We lost a great singer when he died in his plane...but his songs linger on forever.
ReplyDeleteAs for the brick cleaning...ewwwww, I bet that is a chore!!
I'm finding it so funny that pretty much everyone began using computers back in the 90's. I love Thin Mints, too!
ReplyDeleteIs any mom a quitter?
ReplyDeleteOH MY GOSH - me too about the tunnel in Middlesboro!!!! LOL Well, we were usually coming from Tazewell TN (where my dad grew up) going TO see my friend in Harlan KY or some such location ... My dad actually has family somewhere in that VA part right there too - not sure what town though. We've been there when I was very young for a funeral.
ReplyDeleteI see you are determined. You'll get it done!
