Wednesday Hodgepodge Volume 69

Welcome back to the Wednesday Hodgepodge! Be sure to add your link to the bottom of Joyce's post and then go visit the neighbors. After all, that's part of the fun!
1. Did March come in like a lion or was it something less ferocious in your neck of the woods?
March came in like a lamb here. Kind of scary to see how it will go out - hope it's not with tornadoes like a lot of place are getting.
2. Speaking of lions, which one's your film favorite...The Cowardly Lion (Wizard of Oz), Mufasa (The Lion King), Elsa (Born Free), or Alex (Madagascar)? You may notice I left Aslan off the list. Including him would have made this question way too easy for many of you.
I've gotta go with the Cowardly Lion! I grew up with him and I'll never forget my daughter (at 18 mo. old) saying "Lions and Tigers and Bears - oh my" over and over and over and over and over (you get the idea)
3. What's your favorite spot from which to view the sunrise or sunset?
The mountains - can't even describe the beauty.
4. To what extent is knowledge power and to what extent is truth power? What's the difference?
Truth is power and will triumph in the end. I believe that but sadly, in this present world, it is not always the case. Knowledge also brings power in that the more you know the more power you have to at least TRY and change things. What is the difference? Knowledge must be attained - truth does not have to be attained.
5. What's something peculiar you've seen recently?
Hundreds of snow geese in the fields around here - I think that's a sign of Spring.
6. Bottled water...your thoughts?
Really, what's wrong with tap water. My refrigerator has a built in filter. Don't we have enough plastic laying around in landfills?
7. What's your strongest sense?
I would have to say my hearing. I am a strong believer in the fact that you can learn a lot by keeping your mouth shut and your ears open. I kind of learned that the hard way - when I first came to IL, I had a strong southern accent and was made fun of by my classmates - I quickly learned to keep my mouth shut - and then realized just how much you can learn when you do!
8. Insert your own random thought here.
I'm really sorry to be such a typical first time grandma - but - isn't he a beautiful baby!
